Working Principle of Belt Filter Press
Based on the combined principle of mechanical extrusion and gravity separation, the belt filter press achieves deep dewatering through a four-stage process:
1. Chemical Pretreatment: Sludge is fully mixed with polymer flocculant, gathering fine particles into large flocs and releasing free water.
2. Gravity Dewatering Zone: Flocculated sludge enters the filter belt, removing over 80% of free water by gravity and losing fluidity.
3. Wedge Pre-pressing Zone: Sludge enters the gap between upper and lower filter belts with gradual pressurization for preliminary dewatering to prevent overflow during formal pressing.
4. Multi-stage Pressing Zone: Sludge passes through S-shaped large and small press rollers, subjected to increasing pressure and shear force to squeeze out capillary water thoroughly, forming solid sludge cakes for automatic discharge.
