Xi'an DIEN Environmental Water Treatment Company's technology upgrade case study: Customized treatment of water quality problems.

Time:2026.07.11
Author:迪恩水处理

Anyone familiar with water treatment engineering in Xi'an knows that the water quality in Northwest China is quite unique. It's characterized by high hardness, high iron and manganese content, and significant fluctuations in water quality, with particularly pronounced differences in well water and groundwater parameters across different areas. General-purpose water treatment equipment on the market, while meeting standard parameters, often fails to adapt to local conditions. This results in either frequent membrane clogging or unstable effluent quality, leading to high maintenance costs.

Because of the limitations of general-purpose equipment, DIEN Water Treatment has been continuously iterating its technology and upgrading its equipment in recent years. Instead of simply copying fixed templates, they combine the actual water quality conditions of Xi'an and the surrounding areas to conduct targeted technical optimization and customized solutions, accumulating a large number of practical and replicable upgrade cases.

Xi'an DIEN Environmental Water Treatment Company's Technology Upgrade Case: Customized Treatment of Water Quality Problems

Previously, a factory in Lintong, Xi'an, faced a typical problem with adapting outdated equipment. The factory originally had a set of conventional well water filtration equipment, which developed more and more problems after several years of use. The local groundwater has high hardness and contains a lot of sediment and impurities. Traditional pretreatment equipment has a simple structure and a single filtration stage, making it prone to rapid fouling and clogging of filter cartridges and reverse osmosis membranes. Consumables need to be replaced almost monthly, and frequent downtime for maintenance severely disrupts the plant's daily water supply, resulting in extremely high overall operating costs.

After taking on the project, the DIEN technical team did not directly replace the equipment with the same new model. They first conducted multi-dimensional sampling and testing of the plant's raw water to understand key data such as water hardness, iron and manganese content, and suspended solids ratio. Then, considering the limited installation space, they provided a complete customized technical upgrade solution.

During the upgrade process, we focused on optimizing the front-end pretreatment system. A new multi-layer gradient filtration structure, coupled with intelligent automatic backwashing technology, effectively intercepts sediment, colloids, and impurities in the water without manual disassembly and cleaning, protecting the core water purification components from the source. Then, we adjusted the equipment operating parameters to adapt to the local high-hardness water quality and optimized the scale inhibition and filtration process, significantly reducing the probability of scaling.

Another crucial point is that, addressing the issue of limited factory space, we reorganized the equipment layout, streamlining redundant structures to reduce the overall footprint of the unit without compromising treatment efficiency, perfectly adapting to the on-site installation environment. Simultaneously, we upgraded the intelligent control system, enabling real-time monitoring of equipment operating pressure, water purity, and consumable status, providing clear operational data for convenient daily management by staff.

After the upgraded equipment was implemented, the improvement was particularly significant. The equipment no longer frequently clogged and shut down, the effluent quality consistently met standards, and the consumable replacement cycle was extended several times over. The factory's maintenance labor and consumable costs decreased substantially, completely resolving years of water-related problems.

Beyond industrial plants, DIEN has also conducted extensive technical upgrades and customized optimizations for centralized water supply in rural areas around Xi'an, commercial water purification in guesthouses, and pure water projects in small processing plants. We don't use standardized, formulaic solutions; everything is based on the on-site water quality, site conditions, and water usage needs.

This is also the core advantage of DIEN Water Treatment. Deeply rooted in Xi'an, familiar with the pain points of water quality in Northwest China, we continuously iterate and upgrade our technology, using customized technical solutions to solve problems that general equipment cannot solve, so that every piece of equipment can be adapted to the actual scene, and operate more stably, more worry-free, and more cost-effectively.
