Why Use Industrial Water Purification Equipment?

Industrial production has strict water quality standards. Common water purification equipment and treatment technologies mainly focus on pure water treatment, aiming to remove impurities and harmful substances to meet production demands of various industries. Using municipal tap water as raw water, pure water treatment adopts multi-stage filtration to effectively eliminate microorganisms, pathogens and other harmful components. Meanwhile, it also removes minerals such as fluorine, potassium, calcium and magnesium required by the human body, focusing more on meeting the high purity requirements of industrial production.

Traditional tap water production processes have obvious limitations. They cannot effectively remove organic pollutants, and chlorination disinfection may produce by-products such as chloroform, resulting in higher mutagenicity than natural water. In addition, after leaving the water plant, tap water is transported through long-distance pipelines. Especially for rooftop water tanks in high-rise buildings, secondary pollution easily occurs. Even boiling can only kill bacteria, but cannot remove harmful chemical contaminants. Therefore, professional industrial water purification equipment is essential for further purification in industrial production.

Types of Industrial Water Purification Equipment

1. Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water Purification EquipmentWidely used in industrial fields, it adopts imported RO membranes with a pore size of only 0.0001 microns and a salt rejection rate of over 98%. It effectively removes heavy metals, impurities and microorganisms, suitable for food, electronics, chemical and other industries. DIEN provides customized models from 0.5 to 100 tons per hour with energy-saving design, reducing power consumption by more than 20% compared with traditional equipment.

2. EDI Ultrapure Water Equipment Designed for high-purity water demands in electronics, pharmaceutical and other industries. The produced water resistivity reaches 15–18 MΩ·cm, meeting strict standards for precision manufacturing and pharmaceutical preparation. With independent R&D capabilities, DIEN optimizes equipment performance for various high-standard application scenarios.

3. Water Softening EquipmentMainly used to reduce calcium and magnesium ions to prevent scaling and protect subsequent production facilities such as boilers and pipelines, extending equipment service life. It is widely applied in chemical, food, thermal power and other industries prone to scaling. It can be matched with pretreatment systems to lower long-term maintenance costs.

4. Ultrafiltration (UF) Water Purification Equipment With a filtration precision of 0.01 microns, it effectively removes suspended solids, colloids and bacteria. It is commonly used as pretreatment for RO systems, and also applied independently in industries with moderate water quality requirements such as textile and papermaking.

5. Integrated Intelligent Water Purification Equipment Integrating filtration, disinfection, sedimentation and other processes, it features compact structure and easy operation. Ideal for small and medium-sized industrial enterprises with automatic unmanned operation. DIEN can customize the layout according to factory space, balancing practicality and convenience.

Working Principles of Industrial Water Purification Equipment

Reverse Osmosis (RO) pure water treatment is one of the most widely adopted technologies in industry. Its core principle is to apply pressure exceeding the osmotic pressure on the concentrated solution side, forcing solvent to flow toward the dilute solution in the opposite direction of natural osmosis. The core component of an RO system is the semi-permeable membrane, which allows only solvent to pass through while blocking solutes. When fresh water and salt water are separated by a semi-permeable membrane, natural osmosis occurs until osmotic balance is reached. By applying external pressure, solutes and solvents are separated efficiently, removing inorganic ions, bacteria, viruses, organics and colloids to produce high-purity water.

Ion Exchange (IX) pure water treatment is a traditional and advanced deep purification technology. It uses anion and cation exchange resins to replace various ions in water. According to resin configuration, it can form cation beds, anion beds and mixed beds. Mixed bed systems are often combined with reverse osmosis for terminal preparation of high-purity and ultrapure water, becoming an indispensable technology in this field. The treated water resistivity ranges from 1 to 18 MΩ·cm, with conductivity lower than 1 μS/cm. It is widely used in electronics, power, chemical, electroplating, boiler feed water, pharmaceutical and other industries with ultra-high water quality requirements.
